I'm Oreofe Solarin.

I'm an undergraduate student at CWRU, where I'll finish a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics in May 2026.

I'm broadly interested in Software Engineering Research; Software Security specifically in Software Supply Chain Security; and how they all tie back to developers and their workflows. I'm occasionally interested in usable security and privacy (HCI + Security).

I'm currently working as a researcher on the MDS3 project under the SDLE Research Center. My work applies computational and mathematical methods to analyze X-ray diffraction (XRD) data, mainly around uncertainty quantification and domain-shift analysis. Materials science isn't my core focus, but I enjoy working on interdisciplinary problems (especially when they allow me to use my math knowledge 🤓).

In the Summer of 2023, I interned as a Software Engineering Research Intern at Carnegie Mellon University's REUSE program under Dr. Christian Kästner working on reproducible builds in the bubble of software supply chain security. Our work was published in ICSE 2025.

In the Summer of 2024, I interned again as a Software Engineering Research Intern at Carnegie Mellon University's REUSE program under Dr. Limin Jia working still within the security space on Information Flow Control (IFC).

Outside of research, I'm an amateur road/gravel cyclist (sometimes competitive). I race for my collegiate team as a Cat 4.
